Marriage and Family

Wendy in Venice

I have been married to my wife, Wendy (née Frost) for more than 50 years now. We met on holiday in Italy, and married two years later, in 1966. We then set up the magazine Current Archaeology in which she was joint editor and played an essential role in keeping a magazine together and managing the layout and the subscriptions.

We have three children, Fiona born in 1969, who works at Morrisons supermarket. She was followed by Alexander born 1973, who does the IT for the magazine. Then there is Robert, born 1976, who has taken over the magazine from me and set up a new company Current Publishing of which he is managing director. He is married to Libby (née Gladwell) and they have four children, three girls, Eloise, Isobel and Jessica and then a boy, Max.

Then in pink, my wife Wendy hugging her granddaughter Jessica; then back our daughter Fiona in blue, with in front our son Alexander; then at back, in red, our son Robert and in front of him, Isabel (Izzi). Then I am at the back to the right, and in front is our grandson Max
